Spitzer’s ex urged to get tested in wake of hooker scandal

Eliot Spitzer’s Russian-hooker scandal has horrified the ex-girlfriend he claims “is the love of my life” — and friends are urging her to get tested for sexually transmitted diseases, sources said Tuesday.

Democratic political operative Lis Smith was shocked and disgusted to learn that the infamous “Client 9” may have been with admitted ex-call-girl Svetlana Travis for at least two years, sources close to Smith said.

Spitzer, 56, reportedly was seeing Travis at the same time he was shacking up with Smith, 33, in his Fifth Avenue apartment.

Smith didn’t know about Spitzer’s ties to the Russian, said a source close to Smith.

“This was not an open relationship,” the source said.

On Monday, Spitzer publicly proclaimed his undying affection for Smith in a statement spurred by claims that he choked Travis inside The Plaza hotel.

“The woman who initially made the allegation was not my girlfriend. Lis Smith was my girlfriend, and I had and have deep affection for Lis. She is the love of my life,” he gushed.

Smith didn’t return a request for comment.

She lost a plum job working for Mayor Bill de Blasio after The Post published exclusive photos exposing her affair with Spitzer in December 2013. The revelation also led to the public end of Spitzer’s marriage.
