Igor Konashenkov of the Russian Defense Ministry responded Wednesday to repeated suggestions that Israel had resumed its air operations over Syria, with a warning: He said “hotheads” should adequately assess the current situation in the region and refrain from “provocative actions on Syrian territory.” The general also reported that Russian advisers are preparing Syrian military personnel for operating the advanced S-300 air defense systems.
