But the English mathematician's decryption of Germany's Enigma code helped shorten World War II, saving millions of lives. Turing was also the first to create a computer prototype, which he used to solve the code. Mortem Tyldum’s new drama 'The Imitation Game' is the first feature film that puts Turing in the international spotlight, 60 years after his death. VOA's Penelope Poulou reports.
