The situation began around 8 p.m. when the officer, identified as Jarred Ciccone , was hit in the shoulder while conducting a traffic stop. The gunman fled the scene and was eventually located in the Dunes neighborhood where a shootout ensued between the man and responding officers. The police chief said the suspect lives in the neighborhood and was inside his home in the 1400 block of Sandcastle Road when the gunfight occured. T
