The Iran's other deadly threat: biological weapons
M.N.: Nothing specific or particularly meaningful can be derived from the following web review (of mostly dated sources) of this subject, as it is expected. One of the most interesting questions (which came to my attention for some certain reasons): can the common (e.g. respiratory) viral infections be used as the transmission vehicles for the biological weapons; in particular, for the slow brain viruses (if and when they are fully developed as weapons), remains unanswered. My guess is that it is possible in principle, but is very difficult to do for the practical purposes of the biological warfare, at least presently (in my absolutely non-expert humble opinion). The importance of this question is of course, hard to overestimate. Overall, the Iran's biological weapons threat is very real, and I am sure, is taken very seriously.
