Agence France-Presse is reporting that one person has been found dead after a suspected terror attack at a factory in France.

At Least 37 Dead After Gunmen Attack Tunisia Hotel

At least 37 people have been killed and 36 wounded after an attack in the coastal city of Sousse inTunisia, according to a Tunisian Health Ministry spokesman as quoted by the Associated Press. It was the deadliest such attack in the country’s history.
Tunisia’s Interior Ministry spokesman Mohammed Ali Aroui said two gunmen opened fire on a beach near two hotels.
In AP reports, Aroui is quoted saying one gunman behind “the terrorist attack was killed during an exchange of fire with security forces.” Top security official Rafik Chelli was also quoted by AP as telling Mosaique FM that the gunman shot by security forces was previously unknown to authorities. That gunman, according to Chelli, came towards the Imperial Marhaba hotel from the beach, hiding his Kalashnikov under an umbrella before he opened fire.
Aroui said police are still pursuing the other, who fled the scene; the exchange of fire is continuing.
Local radio Jawhara FM said one of the terrorists was wearing a police uniform as a disguise. Gary Pine, a British tourist close to the scene, told Sky News he was on the beach when he heard what “we thought was firecrackers going off” 100 yards away, before there was an explosion from a nearby hotel complex.
“There was a mass exodus off the beach,” he said. He added that his son said he had seen someone get shot on the beach.
He said guests at his hotel were first told to lock themselves in their rooms, and later to gather in the lobby.
Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, speaking from Brussels, confirmed that the Imperial Marhaba hotel is owned by a Spanish company.
Tunisia has been on high alert since March when two gunmen killed 22 people—largely foreign tourists—at the Bardo museum in Tunis.
Sousse is Tunisia’s third largest city and an important tourist destination, with more than a million tourists visiting each year.
According to Reuters, the Tunisian health ministry said that British, German and Belgian nations were among the victims of Friday’s attack.
Tunisian security official Chelli also said despite the fact that authorities had a plan to protect the hotels during Ramadan, this was an isolated operation that is difficult to counter against.
Earlier reports had indicated that 28 people had been killed.

ISIS Claim Responsibility for Kuwait Mosque Blast

KUWAIT CITY — The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for a deadly explosion that struck a Shiite mosque in the Kuwaiti capital after Friday prayers.
A posting on a Twitter account known to belong to the Islamic State group said the attack was carried out by a suicide bomber wearing an explosive belt. The attack was claimed by an IS affiliate calling itself the Najd Province, the same group that claimed a pair of bombing attacks on Shiite mosques in Saudi Arabia in recent weeks.
Friday’s explosion struck the Imam Sadiq Mosque in the neighborhood of al-Sawabir, a residential and shopping district of Kuwait City. Paramedics on the scene said at least two people were killed, but the death toll was expected to rise. One eyewitness told The Associated Press that he saw at least 10 dead bodies. Police formed a cordon around the mosque’s complex immediately after the explosion, banning people from entering or gathering near the area. Ambulances could be seen ferrying the wounded from the site.
“We couldn’t see anything, so we went straight to the wounded and tried to carry them out. We left the dead,” said witness Hassan al-Haddad, 21, who said he saw several dead bodies.
Abdullah al-Saffar, who was at the mosque, said the explosion took place just after midday Friday prayers. Friday midday prayers are typically the most crowded of the week, and attendance increases during the holy Muslim month of Ramadan, which started last week.
Another witness, Ahmad al-Shawaf, said worshippers were standing shoulder to shoulder in group prayer when the explosion struck near the door of the mosque, behind some of the worshippers. Al-Shawaf said the explosion took place near the end of a second prayer that is traditional to Shiites and that follows the main midday Friday prayer.
He said witnesses standing behind him said they saw a man walk in, stand in the back with other congregants and detonate his device.
Mohammed al-Faili, 32, said that his 70 year-old father was killed in the explosion and two of his brothers were also wounded. Speaking to the AP by telephone, he said he was not at the mosque at the time of the explosion but was heading to the morgue to identify his father’s body.
The Islamic State group, regards Shiite Muslims as heretics, and refers to them derogatively as “rafideen” or “rejectionists.” The IS Twitter statement said the bomber had targeted a “temple of the apostates.”
Kuwaiti Justice, Religious Endowment and Islamic Affairs Minister Yacoub al-Sanna described the attack as a “terrorist and cowardly action which threatens our nation and works at tearing apart the national unity.”
Al-Sanna told the official state agency KUNA that, the government would take all necessary measure to ensure protection of houses of worship. “Kuwait was and will remain the oasis of security and safety to all components of the Kuwaiti society and sects,” he said.

For Obama and Clinton, twisty paths to 'yes' on gay marriageWASHINGTON (AP) - When President Barack Obama praised the Supreme Court's watershed same-sex marriage ruling, he held it up as evidence that a "shift in hearts and minds is possible." Obama may well have been describing his own public trajectory on gay unions - a complicated path that took him through opposition and ambivalence to enthusiastic embrace.

(AP) - President Barack Obama sang a hymn of hope and spoke with the fervor of a preacher as he eulogized a pastor and eight parishioners gunned down at a historic black church in an apparent hate crime - and he minced no words in calling for an end to racial injustice and gun violence in the United States. In his eulogy for the Rev. Clementa Pinckney, Obama suddenly began singing "Amazing Grace," quickly joined by ministers and some of the thousands who packed into the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina.

Indonesian army inches back into civilian sphereJAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) - Nearly two decades after the fall of dictator Suharto forced Indonesia's military out of politics, the army is inching back into civilian roles, risking a setback for democracy in this Southeast Asian nation and perhaps even for the turbulent region. The vast Indonesian archipelago is one of the world's most-populous democracies and also among the youngest. Many Indonesians welcomed the army's retreat from politics after Suharto's often brutal 32-year rule was ended by mass protests in 1998. But years later, analysts and former generals say the military's national defense role is still not fully accepted among officers or the rank-and-file.
