Enjoying America: Tatiana Chernykh (second from right) with her sister Mariya (left) and their parents in the shop where Tatiana worked
M.N.: I think this article was planted into "Daily Mail" to deflect the attention from the "Russian connection" and to turn it into the "Israeli connection". It is suggested by the thrust and structure of the article and especially by its concluding phrase:
"A distant relative of the sisters and director of the local school, Zoya Gridneva, said: 'If they were married to friends of the terrorists, it has nothing to [do] with them, does it?'
'They were never fanatics of any religion.' "
Father looks Jewish and "well connected", mother looks Tatar. The fact that presently they might live in Israel does not mean much in and by itself. The girls look quite devious.
The whole story remains a mystery. I am not completely convinced that the accused are the actual shooters, there is no direct proof of this, only the circumstantial evidence. The reports of eyewitness(es) that there were three, athletically built shooters should be noted. This circumstance did not receive any attention from the mainstream media.
Who supplied the "Daily Mail" with the photos? It would be interesting to know. I am sure that some people do know much more than it appears in the print. As always, the issue is (or isn't) that those who know do not talk or write in the papers, and those who write do not know or do not know enough or know just as much as others want them to. - San Bernardino terror attack Russian sisters have links to Israel | Daily Mail Online
