SAN FRANCISCO -- Four men were shot and killed Friday night in a brazen quadruple homicide in the Hayes Valley neighborhood, police mentioned.
The shooting was reported about ten p.m. in the 200 block of Page Street, in between Octavia Boulevard and Laguna Street, according to San Francisco police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza.
When officers arrived, they identified 4 guys suffering from various gunshot wounds. All four victims have been pronounced dead at the scene, Esparza mentioned.
No suspects are in custody and the investigation remains ongoing.

Four African-American men were shot dead in an upper-class neighborhood in San Francisco, California, amid a spate of fatal shootings across the US.
The four victims were shot around 10 pm on Friday inside a car in the Hayes Valley area of San Francisco, police spokesman officer Albie Esparza said.
"We've got four victims in a car here," The San Francisco Chronicle quoted a police officer at the scene as saying over police radio. "We've got multiple gunshot wounds here," another said.
Residents reported hearing more than a dozen gunshots. No arrests have been made and no other information was available from police.
In a separate shooting incident in Shawnee, Kansas, a gun shop owner died from his wounds Friday during a botched robbery.
John Bieker, 44, died after the shooting at his gun store, which caters to female gun owners. Police said gunfire erupted after four men tried to rob Bieker and his wife, Rebecca.
Two of the suspects had been removed from the store in critical condition. The other two suspects, including one who had been shot, fled the scene but were located a short time later in a nearby home.
Every year, more than 30,000 people are killed by firearms in the United States.
Following the 2012 Sandy Hook school massacre, US President Barack Obama pushed for gun reforms, but Congress has fiercely opposed the measures due, in large part, to pressure from the powerful gun lobby.

Police were scouring the city Saturday, searching for the people who shot and killed four men in what’s likely to have been a gang-related attack in San Francisco’s Hayes Valley Friday night.
Police Chief Greg Suhr said Saturday that police gang task force and homicide units are combining efforts so they can act quickly to counter any possible gang retaliation.
"We need to figure out why this happened; if we can discover that then we will know if there is another that is going to fall,” Suhr said. “We need to be out in front of that."
The victims were found shot in a black 2005 Honda near the corner of Laguna and Page streets about 10 p.m., police said. The car had been reported stolen.
All four men died at the scene, said Officer Albie Esparza, a San Francisco police spokesman. While Suhr said police know the identity of the victims, their names were not immediately released.
Several yellow tarps surrounded the sedan parked on Laguna Street near the curb, pointed toward Market Street. The car still had its amber lights and taillights on. Yellow evidence markers were strewn on the ground around the car.
The back window on the driver’s side was shattered, but the windshield and back window were intact.
“We’ve got four victims in a car here,” one of the first officers who arrived at the scene said on the police radio. “We’ve got multiple gunshot wounds here,” another officer reported.
After dispatchers asked whether it was safe for paramedics to enter the area, an officer responded, “It is clear for them to come in. Get them in here quick, please.”
Suhr said four guns were likely involved, with two guns found inside the stolen car with the victims.
Two different caliber of shell casings were recovered on the ground near the car and multiple shots were fired, he added.
No arrests have been made and police would not say if they had any suspects in the slayings. San Francisco police described a possible suspect vehicle as a newer-model silver Scion that could have been heading toward Highway 101. California Highway Patrol officers were alerted.
Police also are searching for any street surveillance video that might have caught either the attack or the fleeing car.
Residents who called 911 reported hearing as many as 15 shots. The gunfire was also captured by ShotSpotter, the city’s gunfire-detection system. Bullets hit at least one parked car.
“We thought it was firecrackers at first, but then we heard the police,” said neighbor Robin Levitt, 62.
On Saturday morning, Victoria Austin, 61, a priest at the nearby San Franciso Zen Center, put up a memorial on a post that said, “1/9/15/ drive-by 4 people rest in peace,” with flowers attached.
“I was awakened by sounds, saw the flashing lights,” she said. “I had hoped violence and the causes of violence in the neighborhood were done. It’s not over. It’s a shock to everyone. It’s painful, and we don’t know much about it.”
Officers cordoned off several blocks with yellow crime scene tape and canvassed the neighborhood for witnesses. Neighbors gathered at the tape, hoping the four victims were not their loved ones.
“We’re just trying to make sure everybody’s kids are OK,” said a woman who asked to only be identified as Toni. “I just don’t want to get that phone call.”
The killings added to a grim start to the new year in San Francisco, which reported 45 homicides in 2014.
On Wednesday, a man died after being shot near Candlestick Park. Last Sunday evening, two police sergeants shot and killed a despondent man who allegedly pointed an Airsoft replica gun at them outside the Mission police station.
The slayings Friday night appear to be the most serious mass killing since Binh Thai Luc allegedly used both a sharp-edged weapon and a blunt instrument to kill five people in the city’s Ingleside district in 2012.

A horrible scene unfolded on Friday night as a quadruple homicide took place in Hayes Valley of San Francisco. Police are investigating the scene where four men were shot and killed in a vehicle near the corner of Page Street and Laguna.
SF Gate reports that the victims were found shot to death in a black 2005 Honda around 10 p.m. Earlier in the night, police stated that the vehicle had been reported stolen, and they were already looking for it.
One of the first officers on the scene in San Francisco’s Hayes Valley radioed in the call.
“We’ve got four victims in a car here.”
Another officer arrived on the scene and came across with more information on Friday night.
“We’ve got multiple gunshot wounds here.”
Officer Albie Esparza, a spokesman for the San Francisco police, did state that all four men died on the scene, and there was indeed an ongoing investigation into the quadruple homicide. Names of the four men were not released.
According to ABC 7 News, the back window of the driver’s side of the Honda was shattered. The windshield and back window on the vehicle were still intact though.
Dispatchers wanted to send paramedics to the scene, but they weren’t entirely sure that it was safe. They radioed officers on the scene for an update and one responded.
“It is clear for them to come in. Get them in her quick, please.”
Numerous residents in the Hayes Valley area of San Francisco called 911 to report gunshots being fired. There were a lot of bullets that flew around on Laguna Street, and a number of homes were hit.
One bullet, out of the 15 shots said to be heard, ended up stuck in the refrigerator door of someone’s house.
As of Saturday morning, the police did not have any description of the suspect or suspects involved. There is no known information as to a motive for the shooting, or just how many shooters were involved in the quadruple homicide.
Memorial signs were already being placed on the street on Saturday morning. Victoria Austin, 61, is a priest at the nearby San Francisco Zen Center, and she placed a sign and flowers up.

I won’t watch myself crumble I won’t lose the will to live
That pathway leads to nowhere defeated purpose killed
