M.N.: I do not think that this "manifesto" is authentic. Stylistically it feels somewhat "wooden" and not very natural or genuine for the 21 y.o. from today's American South, it is idiomatically dull and colorless. In this sentence the two comas separating "alone" are used in accordance with the syntactic rule of Russian language: "I am not in the position to, alone, go into the ghetto and fight."
Overall, it feels that it was written and translated (well) by the original Russian speakers. Most likely it was produced and placed on the web post factum, after the killings, with "typos" placed deliberately, to suggest that it was written in a hurry (which actually it might have been, but not likely by D.S. Roof). Photos might have been prepared in advance and kept in a stash. Name is suggestive and telling: "Dylann Storm Roof" might suggest: You, poet (Bob Dylan or Dylan Thomas): "Storm the Roof" - do your brainstorm, solve the puzzle.
The linguistic samples from "manifesto" need good and professional forensic linguistic analysis, mine are just general non-professional impressions.
Domain registration could have been changed to Roof's name very easily and without his knowledge.
The "discoverers" might be fakes with comically sounding "twitter names".
All this is just a working hypothesis, but if it is correct it raises some additional questions and issues. With all these evident leads, were they exposed deliberately? If not and this is just sloppiness, it raises a question if this occurrence was produced by the acting professional service. The alternative is the semi-professional organisation of the "retired enthusiasts", of which there are several, with some type of the private or semi-private sponsorship. This raises the further questions about the authorship of the previous "active measures" episodes.
The coincidence with church burning in Israel and some visits to St. Petersburg should be noted, providing the common context.
There might be possible connection with the domestic events: "Two criminals got away with murder from Clinton's prison: Sweat and Matt = Sweat, Mutt! Your balcony - podium fell down and buried you on Kittredge Street = Khytriy (shrewd, smart in Russian) Street: we have a "smart edge" (special operations) over you".
It is possible that the staged incidents-accidents-crimes are intended as the communication device and signals to the embedded, in situ operatives and agents.
It should be assumed that almost, practically all the digital information that exists in the US had been hacked and is open and known to the adversaries who already used it for some time for their operations and will continue using it in sophisticated sets of algorithms for their "special operations", including corrections, police, VA and other records.

The opinion of Ms. O'Toole seems to doubt the authenticity of the "manifesto" also, citing the prepared, preconceived emotional tone of this piece of writing (see the quote below).

Was racist manifesto written by Dylann Roof?

Charleston suspect Dylann Roof’s alleged manifesto discovered online

Metadata associated with this image indicates it was taken on May 11. This photo of suspected killer Dylann Roof …
A website surfaced Saturday featuring a racist and rambling manifesto and dozens of photos of accused Charleston church shooter Dylann Roof posing with white supremacy symbols and the Confederate flag.
Roof, 21, remains jailed on nine counts of murder for allegedly opening fire in the historically African-American Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church on Wednesday.
Who authored the manifesto or posted the images has yet been confirmed. But through online registration records, Yahoo News confirmed the website’s domain, lastrhodesian.com, was created by a Dylann Roof of Eastover, S.C. on Feb. 9. The street address used is the same Roof has given authorities since he was captured in Shelby, N.C. on Thursday. On Feb. 10, the registration information was purposely obscured.
The domain history for www.lastrhodesian.com initially listed Dylann Roof as the registrant on Feb. 9. (Screen …
In a written statement issued Saturday evening, Charleston police said they and the FBI had become aware of the site and are “taking steps to verify the authenticity of these postings,” but declined to release further details.
The webpage traces its author’s path toward strong beliefs in white supremacy and the race debate ignited after the shooting of black teen Trayvon Martin as a moment of racial “awakening.” The text ends with the author's statement that it's time to take the beliefs expressed, “to the real world.”
“I have no choice. I am not in the position to, alone, go into the ghetto and fight. I chose Charleston because it is most historic city in my state, and at one time had the highest ratio of blacks to Whites in the country. We have no skinheads, no real KKK, no one doing anything but talking on the internet. Well someone has to have the bravery to take it to the real world, and I guess that has to be me.”
While writings like these are rare, retired FBI profiler Mary Ellen O’Toole said killer manifestos are all about “the writings of a very narcissistic, arrogant individual.”
“They feel this need to tell the world how they were wronged,” O’Toole said. “It’s like they have to shove our nose into why they are entitled into what it is they are going to do.”
O’Toole, who has seen hundreds of manifestos during her career studying killers, read the document posted to Roof’s website at the request of Yahoo News.
While not vouching for it’s authenticity, O’Toole described it as scattered and likely plagiarized.
“The themes don’t indicate that this person is spending a lot of time to do research,” said O’Toole, who now directs the Forensic Science Program at George Mason University“The depth and breadth is remarkably shallow.”
The 2,444-word manifesto wanders from topic to topic spewing about, among other things, patriotism, blacks, Jews, Hispanics and Asians.
“He’s trying to weave like a quilt of those themes that he went out in search of,” O’Toole said. “Which tells me that whoever the author is had preexisting opinions and ideas … and then you go to the Internet to get a little bit of this and a little bit of that to fuel what you already believe and already think.”
The New York Times, reports that according to web server logs, the manifesto was last modified at 4:44 p.m. ET on Wednesday, about four hours before the Charleston shootings. Roof's friends reportedly said they last saw him near Livingston, S.C. on Wednesday morning. Driving to Charleston would have taken just under two hours.
“Unfortunately at the time of writing I am in a great hurry and some of my best thoughts, actually many of them have been to be left out and lost forever. But I believe enough great White minds are out there already. Please forgive any typos, I didn’t have time to check it.”
Benjamin Crump, attorney for Trayvon Martin’s family and a leading national voice in civil rights issues, said he was troubled to learn the manifesto mentioned the Martin case.
“Regardless of how this demented, racist individual attempts to shift the focus of his murderous actions, we will remain steadfast in our defense of the voiceless around this country,” Crump said in a statement. “They need it now more than ever. My thoughts and prayers remain with the victims of this terrible tragedy and the Charleston community.”
Dozens of images posted to the site show Roof in historic locations like a Confederate soldier cemetery and a slave burial ground.

A picture from www.lastrhodesian.com shows Dylann Roof in the same clothes he had on when he allegedly entered …

In one image, the suspected gunman is posed on the beach wearing the same clothes he is seen wearing on surveillance footage as he entered the church on Wednesday. The numbers 1488 and a rune symbol associated with white supremacist groups are scratched in the sand. The number has been adopted by white supremacists, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center's Racist Skinhead Glossary.
The “88" refers to H, the eighth letter of the alphabet and is a symbol for “Heil Hitler.” The “14” refers to a 14-word slogan popularized by David Lane, a white supremacist serving a 190-year sentence in the murder of a Jewish talk show host. The slogain is: “We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children.”
About a third of the 60 photos from the website have metadata associated with them that reveal dates. If the camera data is correct, Roof, who lived two hours away near Columbia, was in the Charleston area at least three times in April.
If Roof was updating his website up until shortly before his alleged crime, it would become another example of what O’Toole calls “creating kind of living manifesto as they lead up to the event.”
She referenced Elliot Rodger, a 22-year-old college student who posted a 141-page manifesto called “My Twisted World” online and a seven-minute video on YouTube titled “Retribution” before killing six people and wounding more than a dozen others in May 2014.
“What that shows is that they are not in a state, necessarily, of frenzy,” O’Toole said. “They are building this historical record kind of, ultimately leading up to the shooting … trying to justify their actions.”

Word of the Roof's alleged manifesto website spread quickly after it was first discovered by Twitter users

. By late Saturday afternoon, the website was not accessible and appeared to be offline.
The site’s title phrase, The Last Rhodesian,” is a reference to an unrecognized state in Africa, now Zimbabwe, that during the 1960s and '70s that was controlled by a white minority. White supremacists have idealized this era and the Rhodesian flag has been used as a racist symbol.
A picture of Roof from Facebook circulated after he was identified as the alleged shooter shows him wearing a jacket adorned with flag patches for both Apartheid-era South Africa and Rhodesia.
The trove of images on the site also include photos of a Glock .45-caliber handgun, which investigators have said was the type of weapon used in the murders. Roof reportedly purchased the gun in April with money given to him by his family for his 21st birthday.
Other pictures were taken at the Sankofa Burial Grounds for slaves on the McLeod Plantation in Charleston. Some appear to have been taken at the Boone Hall plantation in Mount Pleasant, S.C., and the Museum and Library of Confederate History in Greenville, S.C.
The author of the manifesto writes he did not grow up in a racist home or environment.
Living in the South, almost every White person has a small amount of racial awareness, simply beause of the numbers of negroes in this part of the country.
Roof's family broke their silence late Friday by releasing a statement extending their sympathies victims’ families.
Words cannot express our shock, grief, and disbelief as to what happened that night,” it reads.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those killed this week. We have all been touched by the moving words from the victims’ families offering God’s forgiveness and love in the face of such horrible suffering.

Purported Dylann Roof manifesto reviewed by FBI

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — The historic black church where nine people were killed will re-open for a Sunday service, and the FBI said it was reviewing a manifesto purportedly written by the suspected gunman.
The website linked to Dylann Roof surfaced online Saturday and contained photos of him holding a burning American flag and standing on one. He was also seen holding a Confederate flag, considered a divisive symbol by civil rights leaders and others. The hate-filled 2,500-word essay talks about white supremacy and concludes by saying the author alone will need to take action.
It’s unclear if Roof wrote it but the rants are in line with what he has told friends and what he said before allegedly opening fire inside the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal church Wednesday night.
Cleaning crews mopped up the crime scene on Saturday and some church members entered it for the first time since the shooting.
Harold Washington, 75, was with the group and saw the room the victims were shot in.
“They did a good job cleaning it up, there were a few bullet holes around but what they did, they cut them out so you don’t see the actual holes,” he said.
He said he expected an emotional service Sunday, and a large turnout.
“We’re gonna have people come by that we’ve never seen before and will probably never see again, and that’s OK,” he said. “It’s a church of the Lord — you don’t turn nobody down.”
The church had that same welcoming nature when Roof walked into their Bible study, Felecia Sanders, who survived the shooting, said at Roof’s bail hearing Friday. She lost her son Tywanza in the attack.
A federal law enforcement official close to the investigation said the FBI is aware of the website linked to Roof and is reviewing it. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly on the case.
Internet registry records show that the website was created on Feb. 9 via a Russian registry service with the owner’s personal details hidden. A man who answered the phone at the Moscow-based company would not say who the site’s owner was.
Roof is being held in jail, facing nine counts of murder and a weapons charge.
The victims included the Rev. Clementa Pinckney, a state senator who doubled as the church’s lead pastor, and eight others who played multiple roles in their families and communities: ministers and coaches, teachers and a librarian, counselors and choir singers and the elderly sexton who made sure the church was kept clean.
A police affidavit released Friday accused Roof of shooting all nine multiple times, and making a “racially inflammatory statement” as he stood over an unidentified survivor.
Roof had complained while getting drunk on vodka recently that “blacks were taking over the world” and that “someone needed to do something about it for the white race,” according to Joey Meek, who tipped off the FBI when he saw his friend on surveillance images.

Charleston shooting: Dylann Roof 'wanted a race war'. How many Americans want the same? - Americas - World

But just how prevalent is this brand of racism? And how many others might feel the same way as Roof? The problem is it's really hard to say.
There are 784 hate groups operating in the United States, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, a Montgomery, Alabama-based organization that tracks and analyzes hate groups and hate crime in the United States. That figure includes neo-Nazi organizations, local and regional arms of the Klu Klux Klan, white nationalists, neo-Confederate and racist skinhead groups, as well as border vigilante and black separatist organizations. Its definition also includes some well-known social conservative groups that oppose homosexuality and LGBT rights, which some on the right dispute constitutes a “hate” group. But white supremacists comprise the bulk of these groups.

Of course, hate group tallies and membership can paint only a partial portrait of racism in the United States. Some racists don't understand themselves as such. Others would never adopt a white supremacist label or join a white supremacist group. And others still might be all of the above but would stop well shy of violence and “race wars.”
And then, there's the matter of just how readily racist sentiment can even be measured. In October 2012, an Associated Press survey conducted by researchers from Stanford University, the University of Michigan and the University of Chicago found what many Americans of colour already suspect: Anti-minority sentiment is part of the American tapestry, no matter what structural moves toward equality have been made.
Dylann Roof, the man detained by police in the aftermath of the shooting in Charleston, South Carolina, is described as somebody who was quiet and who mainly kept to himself Dylann Roof poses in a Facebook picture showing Rhodesian and Apartheid flags on his jacket A full 51 per cent of Americans expressed explicit anti-black attitudes, compared with 48 per cent in a similar 2008 survey. And when researchers used tests to measure implicit and sometimes unconscious bias, the share of Americans with anti-black sentiments jumped to 56 per cent, up from 49 per cent in 2008.
And the way that Americans think about Latinos was not better. A 2011 AP survey found that 52 per cent of non-Hispanic whites expressed explicit anti-Hispanic attitudes. And a stunning 57 per cent did the same in an implicit bias test. The AP did not conduct previous studies on attitudes about Latinos.
Of course, these studies are testing for racist tendencies that people might not even be aware of — not avowed white supremacism or anything close to it.
But whatever the limits of a hate group data and attempts to measure the feelings of Americans, the combination might be the best information available when it comes to just how many Americans have deep-seated racist feelings. And that's likely to be the case for the foreseeable future.
A member of the Ku Klux Klan salutes during an American Nazi Party rally at Valley Forge National Park September 25, 2004, in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania Local and regional arms of the Klu Klux Klan form just a fraction of America's hate groups In 2009, the Department of Homeland Security released a report analyzing, among other things, participation in domestic hate groups and recruiting efforts. The report revealed that some hate groups focus their recruiting energy on veterans and those entering the military, and it described veterans struggling after a return from war and those affected by the recession as particularly vulnerable to these outreach efforts.
Conservative critics of the report described it as an insult to a whole range of anti-abortion and anti-immigration groups as well as an unnecessary attempt to smear veterans.
The controversy has had consequences. Despite warnings from a range of civil rights and law enforcement agencies that hate group activity seems to be on the rise, the Department of Homeland Security scaled back efforts and even the number of staff charged with tracking non-Islamic domestic extremism.
The FBI does track hate crimes and trends but relies on local law enforcement agencies to identify and pass along the information the agency needs. This approach means that what happens in some states — like Mississippi — simply aren't part of the FBI's annual tally of hate crime and the assessments of local police officers shape which crimes are even investigated as possible hate crimes, much less described as such to the FBI.
Even the term “hate group” has joined the list of issues that appear to be viewed through a political lens. That has already spilled over into the national conversation about the church shooting this week.
Witness reports indicate that Roof's statements during the shooting included a claim that, “I have to do it. You rape our women, and you are taking over our country. And you have to go.” But some Americans have questioned law enforcement's decision to describe the shooting as a possible hate crime. And several conservative politicians have suggested the attack might not be a matter of racial animus but part of an ongoing attack on Christians — or that Roof's motives remain unclear.
The full list of reasons that Roof entered a South Carolina church and, according to his confession, shot and killed nine people, might never be known. But just how many race-war seeking Americans walk among us seems just as elusive.
