A deputy U.S. marshal was shot and killed in southeastern Georgia Friday morning while trying to arrest a man with a history of targeting police, investigators announced, adding that law enforcement shot and killed the suspect.
Deputy Commander Patrick Carothers, 53, was part of a team seeking to arrest Dontrell Montese Carter, who was wanted on charges including attempted murder of police officers and domestic violence stemming from a September incident in South Carolina, the U.S. Marshals Service reported.
The team spotted Carter in a trailer in Long County -- but as Carothers was entering, Carter shot him twice, investigators said. The shooting unfolded at the Spring Creek Mobile Home Park, Fox 28 reported.
“The fugitive who killed Deputy Commander Carothers was extremely dangerous, wanted for trying to kill law enforcement officers and deliberately evading authorities. Pat is a hero and our thoughts and prayers are with his wife and five children,” U.S. Marshals Service Deputy Director David Harlow reacted.
The team returned fire, hitting Carter multiple times. He died at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah. Paramedics rushed Carothers to Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville, where he died.
Carothers was a 26-year veteran of the U.S. Marshals Service. He had served as the deputy commander of the fugitive task force for more than a year.
The Macon-based deputy marshal was wearing a protective vest, Monroe County Sheriff John Cary Bittick told The Macon Telegraph. “Those vests are not going to stop a rifle round,” he added.
Long County is located about 55 miles southwest of Savannah.

LUDOWICI, Ga. —  A U.S. marshal was shot and killed while trying to serve a warrant on a fugitive in south Georgia Friday.
The U.S. Marshal Service identified him as Patrick Carothers, age 53 of Macon, a deputy commander and 26-year veteran. He leaves a wife and five children.
According to a news release, Carothers was part of a team executing a warrant for Dontrell Montrese Carter. He was wanted for attempted murder of police officers, domestic violence and unlawfully discharging a weapon in September in Sumter County, S.C.
The team found Carter in a single-wide trailer near the 11800 block of Tibit Drive near Ludowici.
The team was entering the home when Carothers was struck twice, and the team returned fire, hitting Carter multiple times.
Carothers was taken to Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville, where he died.
Carter, the suspect, later died at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah.
According to the news release, David Harlow, deputy director of the U.S. Marshal Service, made this statement: “Our deputies and law enforcement partners face dangers every day in the pursuit of justice nationwide. The fugitive who killed Deputy Commander Carothers was extremely dangerous, wanted for trying to kill law enforcement officers and deliberately evading authorities. Pat is a hero and our thoughts and prayers are with his wife and five children.”

Key terms, descriptions and Interpretation:

Deputy Commander Patrick Carothers: Patri ck Caro thers:

The Central Kommand (ck) of the country (Patri - Patrii) cares about you (Caro thers)

seeking to arrest Dontrell Montese Carter:

Don't rail, ease your concerns and writings about "mont" - mounting: sexual relations between Trump and Kushner, you, the opinion pusher (Carter)

charges including attempted murder of police officers

the U.S. Marshals Service reported:

The "marshal" signifies the attempt to create the greater weight as if it were the military rank

Spring Creek Mobile Home Park: spring up your "mobile homes, hide, change the places where you sleep".

St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah: You are like St. Joseph (the interpreter of dreams), save "Anna - Russia" (from her train).

Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville: he - nes - ville:  he is  in the ville, mentioned elsewhere: not very clear.

The Macon-based deputy marshal: my con will kill the marshal: "their black criminal will kill Trump"

Monroe County Sheriff John Cary Bittick told The Macon Telegraph

sheriff John, care (about this message) and tick a bit.

Long County is located about 55 miles southwest of Savannah:

Long county = Israel?, to the southwest of "save Anna - Russia"?

My impressions and conclusions: I do not think that this event and the "message" is from the Russians. I think, that it is most likely from a lower level Israeli intelligence officer.

Reasoning:

  • It is dull and dry, with no metaphors and no metaphorical richness.
As they are amply present, for example, in the trapped fish story, which is aesthetically appealing - it probably was set up by Putin himself ??? - poor Vovchik, the stones are thrown in your direction again by this evil inconsiderate me; or by his high level associates - or by MI-6 with him, or on his known or unknown behalf: "do not worry, we will answer him ourselves". This might be viewed as an example of how these things could or should be done, if and when they have to be done: without the unneeded blood, and with the philosophical depth: "all these dead fish will go back to the Ocean of Life", etc., and also addressing the issue directly, the head on, and to the point. The dry, almost colorless, bloodless British charm and humor are almost palpable here, underlined by the restraint, the broad worldwide view from the dispassionate "drony" heights, and the expertise of the "marine adviser, Mr. Tom Jones": "so many people die in this world from all sorts of the accidents and incidents". "The Guardian" apparently, was only happy to oblige with its cooperation. This might or might not be just one of my endless fantasies.

  • No sense of humor whatsoever,
while in the Russian "stories" it is always present and sometimes is quite artful and sophisticated, and especially in the "stories" presumably "authored" by late Mr. Sergun and/or his circle of associates (the "Little Prince" of stately mischief was, I guess, widely loved and admired by his colleagues, and probably is still mourned by them, and he was well liked by some of his opponents too; he conveyed the sense of deep warmth, and probably was more humane than it could have been assumed on a first glance, paradoxically, as always, and devilishly). Those bloody "stories" of his are marked by playful irony and seeming ease of conception and performance - it became an art form for them, although of course, it is almost sinful to think and to talk about those events in this way. The elements of play: playful ease and spontaneity are the signs of a master in any field. But it is too easy and too seductive to deal and to describe these phenomena in abstract, on a safe and deceptive distance from screams, blood, torn flesh, pain, and death.

  • No fusions of Russian and English words.
  • Emphasis on not spreading the "mount" story.
  • There is no "Central Kommand" in Russia, just General Staff.
  • Appeals to "patriotism": "to save Anna - Russia" are misplaced; the Russians are cynical, they would never put it so bluntly and so clumsily; besides, they would know, that this thing ("Russian patriotism") is simply non-existent in many people, and is definitely non-existent in me.
  • Advice to hide and to change the places to sleep corresponds more to the Middle Eastern realities and customs, and are out of place here and for me, and the Russians would know it well also.
  • The use of the "marshal rank" to inflate the significance and to add weight to the event and the "message" is out of place also, and betrays the poor knowledge and understanding of the American social and cultural life and the addressee's psychology, and also the vanity and the pettiness of the "author".
  • Too many various key terms, the Russians usually use few ones: maybe 2-3 per "story", but they are very sharp, focused and concentrated.

This probably would do for the "reasoning" right now.

  • Besides all the above, I think that Putin gave them the direct order to stop this, and they would not violate his order.

The important facts are that both the Russians and the Israelis have the full knowledge and the complete access to all American digital records, which is the key in these types of the operations.

And now make your own conclusions.
