M.N.: I liked Belkovsky's term: "forcing (West) into love (with Russia)": "принуждение Запада к любви". I had the same impression of recent events and developments in this area but described it as "forcing into cooperation". Essentially, in goals and purposes, description is the same, but "forcing into love" conveys the emotional context, in addition to goals and purposes; real or imagined (maybe as a product of Belkovsky's love spewing big heart). Putin himself is fond of repeating the word "love" quite often lately, he probably felt and wanted to express something very close to Belkovsky's term. 
It reminded me an (apparently) old joke, a favorite of one of my "bosses" in my psychiatry residency days, who recited it with gusto and narcissistic-sadistic self-satisfaction. He expired of heart attack some time later, which tells us that it was more tension and pretentious play in his performance rather than the true and sincere enjoyment. 

The joke goes like this: 
"What is the difference between rape and rapture? 
Salesmanship." 
It is the same in this situation: Putin's salesmanship in this affair is very much in line with traditional Russian "Red Bull" (thank you) or "Red Bear" styles. 

My advise to Blondie Salesman: 
Hone up on your salesmanship skills. Throw a dash of (true) romance in there... 

And don't confuse rapture: 
noun: 
1. a feeling of intense pleasure or joy
e.g.: "Vovchick listened with rapture."

2. NORTH AMERICAN

(according to some millenarian teaching) the transporting of believers to heaven at the Second Coming of Christ.

with rupture: 

noun: 
1. an instance of breaking or bursting suddenly and completely.

e.g.: "A small hairline crack could develop into a rupture."
2. a breach of a harmonious relationship.

"The rupture with the USA should be healed ASAP."

synonyms:

rift, estrangement, falling-out, breakup, breach, split, separation,parting, division, schism; informalbust-up "a rupture due to personal differences"

verb: "breach or disturb (a harmonious feeling or situation).

e.g.: "once trust has been ruptured it can be difficult to regain"

synonyms:

sever, break off, breach, disrupt;  literarysunder "the problem ruptured their relationships".

These are two different words and the meaning might be just the opposite.
