As a Mother this image fills me with sadness. What would I do - what would we do - to protect our children from war???

This is why you shouldn't start a war or sponsor terrorism in the first place. Because the end result is not always good. People suffer; people die. But still the world will never be wise. America will keep funding rebels, and rebels will keep rebeling against government, and government will keep retaliating, and innocent people will keep suffering it.

The Pentagon is considering changes to the program of training ‘moderate’ Syrian rebels, admitting that its efforts to create a local fighting force against Islamic State (IS, also known as ISIS) militants have been an embarrassing failure so far.

Many of the people who are making up this refugee crisis are indeed escaping terror of one sort of another. But Rush points out something interesting. If it was just terror or repression these people are escaping… why don’t we see them stopping in Turkey, where, the leader may be an Islamist, they’re not shooting people in the street. Or why aren’t they stopping in Greece where they would expected to be beyond the reach of most of the hated repressors they are escaping from? He points out that no, they are heading to Germany and Sweden where they can expect to receive generous benefits from the government. He puts it quite well: It’s not immigration, it’s an invasion.
If this was about helping refugees, Turkey and Greece could set up camps to provide food and shelter and the rest of Europe could fund them. It would cost much less than new welfare recipients spread across the Continent. But the refugees have no intention of staying in either of those countries or in camps in Hungary. It’s Germany or Bust! I’m not familiar with many situations where refugees enter a place illegally and then demand where they want to stay and what kinds of accommodations they will accept.
Basically the Europeans are inviting Muslims to finish what Umayyads couldn’t accomplish in the 8th Century and the Ottomans couldn’t do in the 15th and 16th. Already Muslims make up between 5% and 10% of most major European countries – and upwards of 20% in many of the largest cities… and the numbers were expected to grow rapidly, even before this refugee problem.

This is a relative softball. It's not just tactics. It's substance. The Democratic party was responsible for much of the present American system of police impunity and mass incarceration.
Additional work-standard protections for police were largely driven by reflexive pro-union sentiment on the left. And not just the left: the most liberal politicians which Americans seem capable of electing. Ted Kennedy was the sponsor and whip for almost everything that came before the Senate. LEOSA was largely Democratic. The only substantial opposition to PSEECA was Republican.
At a state level, both the first and the most harmful LEOBRs were passed by overwhelmingly Democratic legislatures -- Maryland, Illinois, New York. The Supreme Court majority which allowed LEOBRs to be passed, in Garrity v. New Jersey? The six liberal justices on the Warren court against the three conservative justices. And so on and so on.
It's shameful, but it's true: liberals didn't build the entire framework of mass African-American incarceration, but we're at least as responsible for it as conservatives. If this backlash were unprovoked, I might have more problems with the tactics involved -- but the Democrats have hardly earned the unconditional loyalty of African-Americans.

It's a "deliberate strategy."

Let me put it this way: you could put a 30% dent in total police homicides simply by reducing police homicides against black Americans to parity. Even if we stipulate that we will do nothing which causes even the slightest collateral benefit to white people in interactions with the police, we have still done substantial good.
