Igor Sergun, the head of the GRU (Russian Military Intelligence Service) is suddenly dead at 58. The circumstances are unknown.  M.N.:  The sudden death of colonel-general Igor Sergun is surrounded by deep mystery just like his life and work was.  My always doubting mind questions if it was not a flight into anonymity and quiet retirement, but this appears to be extremely unlikely, out of character and personality for him. Although I will believe the reports about this death completely only when I see a bone fide DNA test results.  I know about him just what I could read on the internet and what I could deduce from news reports, although these deductions might be wrong. I would not be surprised if one day we'll learn that his name is linked to some of the most extraordinary events of the history during the past 20 years. Personally, I am tempted to think that he might be the real chief author, architect and manager of 9/11 and many other subsequent (and preceding) shenanigans.
